Veterans Day-November 11, 2024 We remember and honor those who served. The St. George WWII Monument was constructed in the St. George Section of the St. John Vianney Cemetery in Carrick at 920 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210. This project was managed and funded by SGCPS in partnership with Mary, Queen of Peace Parish. It displays the bronze plaque that was originally placed on the front of St. George Church in 1947. Inscribed are the names of 1,017 St. George parishioners that served in WWII including the 35 who lost their lives. The monument was dedicated on July 6, 2024.
